The State Street Players promises to provide flashbacks and fun in its 32nd annual music and variety show opening March 5 and running through March 20 in the auditorium at Our Lady of Mount Carmel School in Doylestown.

Performances are at 8 p.m. March 5, 6, 12, 13, 19 and 20.

This year’s show — titled “I Have a Photographic Memory— I Just Forgot the Film” — features skits, songs and dances from its shared national heritage, including the golden age of television and great movies from the 1980s.

The State Street Players is made up of more than 100 area residents who write, produce and perform the annual show, as well as build their own sets and construct the stage itself in the school’s auditorium.
The song-and-dance routines are interspersed with comedy skits, heavy on physical and satirical humor.

The group will spend a total of six months in production, from initial writing in October until the March show dates.

The show benefits Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church
Tickets: $17.50.
The school is at 225 E. Ashland St..
