2012 Show
State Street Players asks audiences
"My Time Machine is on the Fritz... Can I Borrow Yours?"
The State Street
Players promises to provide flashbacks and fun in its 34th
annual music and variety show opening Friday, March 2 and running
through March 17, 2012.
Performances are at
8 p.m. March 2, 3, 9, 10, 16 and 17, 2012.
This year’s
show—titled “My Time Machine is on the Fritz---Can I Borrow
Yours?"—takes
audience members on
frolicking romp through
time, to some of their favorite movies, music and memories. Songs, skits, and silliness will abound in this year's
production!
The State Street
Players is made up of more than 100 residents who write, produce and
perform the annual show, as well as build their own sets and
construct the stage itself in the Our Lady of Mount Carmel School
auditorium.
The song-and-dance
routines are interspersed with comedy skits, heavy on physical and
satirical humor. The group will spend a total of six months in
production, from initial writing in October until the March show
dates.
Tickets: $17.50.
The State Street
Players’ show—which benefits Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church—takes
place in the Our Lady of Mount Carmel School auditorium at 225 E.
Ashland St. in Doylestown.
