The State Street Players organization is supported by and under the mentorship of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church. We are a family-oriented, community-spirited theatrical band of brothers and sisters dedicated to the performing arts.
Our show is a dinner theatre-style variety show. Lots of fun skits and songs that has kept our audience coming back for 44 years!

We're always on the look out for fun people to join our troupe both ON and OFF stage! Here's what you can expect from our 2022 season:
- Sun. Nov. 7, 2021: General Meeting and Auditions: This is your chance to meet the members and hear about the organization and our 2022 show.
- Following the General Meeting will be Auditions for the show. We can provide you skits and songs to practice with prior to Nov. 7 -- but don't be nervous! We just want to see what parts you'd be best for and where your voice would fit in. Email us for the audition skits and songs!
- If you're looking for for off-stage fun, we definitely need helping hands with costumes, set development, and stage planning before the shows, and lights, sounds, stage crew, and technical help during our 6-night run.
- In general, weekly commitment running up to the show would likely be 2-nights plus Sunday...but you can tell us your availability.
- Mid-December 2021: You'll receive your role assignments in mid-December.
- Jan. 2, 2022: Our first rehearsal! We'll start with a kickoff meeting as an entire cast and crew, then start our schedule of rehearsals.
- January - February: Individual skits meet during the week at agreed-upon times. You'll have a skit director giving direction and ideas in a fun collaborative environment.
- Sundays and Wednesdays are typically focused on music sets
- Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays are more for skits.
- Weeks of Feb. 20 and Feb. 27: We lovingly call it "Heck Fortnight" because we're on stage together every day (Sunday through Thursday) to pull the show together with lights, sounds, costumes, and our band.
- March 4-5, 11-12 & 18-19, 2022 Show time!!!! We also meet Wednesdays between shows to run lines and try to stay fresh!
If that sounds like fun, we'd love to have you join! Reach out and we'll get you started!
